The album, titled A Good American Life, went to production today and will be released by months end. It has been quite a process, but it's been enjoyable throughout. I entered into making this album with the goal of having a "go with the flow" attitude and not stressing about things, at least as much as possible. I adapted this stance because I realized the endeavor was just too much. Songs come fairly easily to me as does performing them, but making a record? It wasn't something I could control from the outset because it was mostly unknown to me...I simply had to trust and follow the path where it led. Looking back I can see that to a large degree I managed to do that, and, in my opinion, it worked out well in the end. I took it one day at a time and somehow that landed me here. Finished. I'm going to try and stick with this going forward and carry the same attitude into the next leg of the journey: marketing and promotion. Admittedly I know little about either...heck...I don't even know if they are two different things or just synonyms??? You're getting the picture as to why it's better for me to not sweat the details here...
